We are offering work experience to all year 10 students for June/ July, and we also offer up to 2 days a week on permanent basis for year 10/11 and hairdressing college students.

Tasks will include consultation, shampoo, conditioning and treating the hair and scalp

• Saturdays from 8.30am to 5.30pm with 1 hour’s lunch break
• Thursday late night from 5pm to 8pm
• Minimum wage applies

Duties:

• Assisting senior members of staff
• Communicating with customers face to face
• Maintaining company standards
• Provide high levels of customer service
• Health and safety
• Offering refreshments

• Minimum of 20 hours per week with on-the-job training and education
• Minimum of 8 hours off the job training and education
• External education available at the London academy

Duties:

• Communicating with customers by phone, email and face to face
• Use and maintain the salons online diary where required
• Maintaining company standards
• Provide high levels of customer service
• Learning the skill and knowledge needed to become a professional hairdresser
• Tasks will include consultation, shampoo, conditioning and treating the hair and scalp.
• Cutting, styling and finishing the hair using a variety of techniques
• Colouring and lightening hair performing chemical services to change the colour and tone of hair
• Maintaining the salon
• Interacting with clients
• Learning safety procedures
• Using products, tools and equipment
• Keeping up with trends

• Minimum of 30 hours per week with on-the-job training and education
• Minimum of 8 hours off the job training and education
• External education available at the London academy
• Minimum apprenticeship wage applies

Duties:

• Promote and deliver a range of fashion forward hair styles
• Creatively cut hair using a variety of techniques
• Carry out advanced creative colour conversions and corrections
• To build and run a column of clients
• Promote additional services and products to clients
• Monitor procedures to safely control work operations
