We must follow Government Health and Safety Policies & Procedures. In order for us to do this, you will be given a specific appointment slot for your intended service. This includes time to clean and sterilise all tools and equipment between each client.
If you have Covid Symptoms or have tested positive for Covid-19 we politly request that you reschedule your appointment for at least 7 days later or after receiving 2 negative lateral flow tests 2 days apart.
If you are late we may not be able to carry out the full service which will be chargeable.
Consultations are a 30 minute booking to meet our Team of hair specialists, who will assess your hair goals, carry out any relevent tests and provide professional advise and a plan on how to achieve your desired look.
For special occassions and events we recommend a trial at least two weeks prior to the scheduled appointment which is chargeable at normal rate.
New clients are required to have a skin test 48 hours prior to appoinment service. Existing clients who have not had their hair coloured with Carter & Shields in 6 months or longer will also be required to carry out a skin test prior to appointment. Failure to do so may result in you being refused your intended colour service and charged accordingly for the appointment slot. Colour services only available for 16 and over.
Carter & Shields work with Beauty Works, Easilocks, Cinderella and Hair Euphoria One hair extensions. All Hair orders must be placed and paid for in full on initial consultation at least 48 hours prior to appointment. Hair Extensions will only be considered for a return if it is within 30 days of purchase untampered. The Guarantee applies to Carter&Shields Ltd as the original purchaser of the product, and does not apply to any subsequent owner/wearer.

Subscriptions are available between Carter & Shields opening times only. Appointments can be booked in advance. Any appointment not attended, rescheduled or cancelled out of the cancellation policy will be chargeable at monthly subscription rate. We require 30 days notice to cancel the subscription please email [email protected]. Service times are non transferable.
Due to an increase in appointment cancellations and rescheduling, in line with industry standard, we will be implementing a 50% non refundable booking fee upon appointment booking. We require 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule any appointments.
If a guest is a no-show or fails to cancel their appointment a no-show cancellation fee of 100% will be taken.
Carter&Shields aims to guarantee customer satisfaction, but in circumstances where you do not feel this has been achieved, we encourage you to let us know and we will always strive to correct the service.
All feedback will be used to develop and maintain our services and will be received with gratitude. Delaying a complaint will seriously affect our ability to investigate and rectify, we kindly request that if you are not 100% satisfied with your service, for any reason, you inform us within 7 day off the initial service.
